Wound FiltersMikropor Continuous Wound Liquid Filters Key Features: - a diagonal pattern on a core - without use of a binding material -provides strength and uniform filtration through the media depth
- Liquid flow is outside to inside and as particles follow the diagonal gates they are trapped by the pathways of fibers.
- Broad range of media options providing excellent compatibility with a variety of organic solvents, animal, petroleum and vegetable oils.
- Optional core covers available on selected cartridges assure fiber migration control.
- Multiple length cartridges minimize change out time, eliminate spacers and are available to fit competitive filter vessels.
- Bleached cotton and polypropylene materials are FDA listed as acceptable for potable and edible liquid contact.
- O-rings, lengths and end cap options are available.
Media Options | Max. Temp (Fahrenheit) | Characteristic | Natural Cotton | 300 | For organic solvents, water, dilute acids, petroleum oils and other solvents | Bleached Cotton | 300 | Used for the same applications as natural and also for potable liquids, vegetable oils and beverages | Rayon | 300 | Chemical compatibility similar to cotton. Used primarily in filtration of petroleum oils. | Fiberglass | 750 | Filtration of organic acids, organic solvents, petroleum oils, mineral acids, and other corrosive or high temperature services. | Polypropylene | 180 | Same chemical compatibility as polypropylene, fiber complies with FDA regulation that permits contact with food and edible products. | Core Options | Max. Temp (Fahrenheit) | Characteristic | Tinned Steel | 400 | General purpose applications | Polypropylene | 180 | For lower temperature applications of corrosive fluids and gases. Easily incinerated to a trace of ash. | 304 Stainless Steel | 750 | For high temperature dilute acids and moderately corrosive fluids. | 316 Stainless Steel | 750 | For high temperature applications and highly corrosive fluids. |
